Robert Frost Trail in Green Mountain National
Forest - The Robert Frost Interpretive Trail
is an easy 3/4 mile walk. It winds through woods and meadow,
by seven Frost poems mounted along the way. In the winter,
the trail has become a favorite with cross-country skiers
and snowshoers.
Quechee Gorge, Vermont's Little Grand Canyon
- Formed over thousands of years by the flow of the
Ottauquechee River, now 165 feet down, the Gorge is spanned
by a bridge originally constructed for the Woodstock Railway.
Hiking and walking trails follow along the mile-long chasm.
Shop nearby Quechee Gorge Village in over 400 antique and
collectible shops, 200 arts & crafts dealers, the Christmas
Loft. Bring a picnic and relax overlooking the waterfalls.
Killington Mountain Resort - Take a ride
on our K-1 Gondola, and roll the windows down. As you ascend
through forests of birch, spruce and pine-—breath in deeply--take
in the scents your nose has been waiting for all week. Unload
atop the highest lift serviced peak in Vermont and notice
how far from the 9 to 5 you really are. Stop in at the highest
restaurant in the east, and grab a light bite to eat, kick
back on the deck-offering majestic views of five states and
Canada. Or wind your way around the
6,326-yard, par 72, championship golf course. Killington's
wintertime slopes transform into a summertime adventure center.
Choose from some wet-n-wild fun in our water slides, to a
leisurely stroll to the summit of Killington Peak, to hiking
and mountain-biking on a network of over 45 miles of lift-serviced
trails.
